Mr. Sudhir Mohan Trehan

Mr. Sudhir Mohan Trehan holds a bachelors’ degree in mechanical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, and a masters’ degree in operational research from the State University of New York at Stony-Brook, USA. He has also completed the advanced management programme from the Harvard Business School, Boston, USA. He joined Crompton Greaves Limited in 1983, where he is presently the Vice Chairman after retiring as the Managing Director in June, 2011. Mr. Trehan has worked in various capacities with the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association, the Nashik Industries and Manufacturers’ Association, the Bombay Management Association and has also been the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (“CII ”), Western Region. He was also awarded by the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering for the year 2000-2001 as an outstanding Chief Executive. The Bombay Management Association conferred the ‘Management Man of the Year’ award on him for the year 2005–2006 in recognition of his contribution to the Indian industry. He has also been conferred with the ‘Business Standard CEO of the Year’ award for the year 2008-2009 by Business Standard, a premier Indian business newspaper. |

Mr. Anil Bhargava

Mr. Anil Bhargava holds a bachelors’ degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and post graduate diploma in foreign trade (PGDIT) from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi. He has also completed a top management programme (TMP), a programme meant for senior management from the Asian Institute of Management, Manila and has over 32 years of experience in sales, marketing, corporate strategy, business development, project and multi-disciplinary engineering management, planning and administration in engineering and infrastructure industry. He has been with the Avantha Group for the last ten years. Prior to joining the Avantha Group, Mr. Bhargava was the Executive Director in marketing and sales with Punj Lloyd Limited. Mr. Bhargava’s current responsibilities include liasoning, planning, marketing and providing strategic vision to our Company. |

Mr.
Bhuthalingam Hariharan

Mr. Bhuthalingam Hariharan holds a bachelors’ degree in science from Madurai University. He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India. He started his career in 1983 as an accounts trainee with Sundaram Clayton Limited. He joined the Avantha Group in 1985 and has since held various senior executive positions in the group. Mr. Hariharan was inducted as a member of the board of directors of Ballarpur Industries Limited in June 2001. Mr. Hariharan has over 28 years of work experience with specialization in finance matters. |

Mr. Vinayak Chatterjee (Independent Director) |

Mr. Vinayak Chatterjee
holds a bachelors’ degree in economics from St. Stephen's College, New Delhi, and a masters’ degree in business administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He co-founded the Feedback Ventures Group in 1990, one of the leading integrated infrastructure development groups in India. Mr. Chatterjee is a strategic advisor to several leading Indian companies, the GoI, various state governments, as well as multilateral and bilateral institutions in the areas of infrastructure planning and implementation. In 1998, the World Economic Forum at Davos selected him as one of the ‘100 Global Leaders of Tomorrow’. Mr. Chatterjee has also chaired the CII National Council on Infrastructure for the last two years and also between 2003 and 2006, the CII National Committee on Urban Infrastructure between 2001 and 2003 and the CII, Northern Region for the year 2000-2001. |

Dr. Omkar Goswami

Dr. Omkar Goswami holds a bachelors’ degree in economics from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, masters’ degree in economics from the Delhi School of Economics in 1978 and a PhD from Oxford University in 1982. He has experience in teaching and research in the field of economics for 18 years at Oxford University, UK, Delhi School of Economics, New Delhi, Harvard University, USA, Tufts University, USA, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, Rutgers University, USA and the Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi. In March 1997, he became the editor of ‘Business India’, one of India’s premier business magazines. Dr Goswami has also served as the chief economist of the CII. Dr. Goswami is the founder and chairman of CERG Advisory Private Limited, providing corporate advisory and consulting services to companies and industries in India and abroad. He has served on several government committees and was the chairman of the Committee on Industrial Sickness and Corporate Restructuring, a member of the working group on the Companies Act, the CII Committee on Corporate Governance, the Rakesh Mohan Committee on Railway Infrastructure Reform, the Vijay Kelkar Committee on Direct Tax Reforms, the Naresh Chandra Committee on Auditor-Company Relationship, the N.R. Narayana Murthy SEBI Committee on Corporate Governance Reforms, among others. He has also been a consultant to the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development. |

Mr. Rahul Rana holds a bachelors’ degree in commerce from the Shri Ram College of Commerce and a masters’ degree in business administration from the University of Illinois, USA. He is the Managing Director of Deutsche Bank, Asia Region, where he is responsible for global markets. He started his career at Salomon Brothers where he was instrumental in starting the global asset swap business. Mr. Rana has over 21 years of senior managerial experience in private equity, structured finance and capital markets at organizations such as as ABN AMRO, UBS, Kidder Peabody and Guggenheim, and has executed sizable and notable transactions. Since 1992, he has acted as advisor and banker to various Indian industrial groups, high net worth individuals and State governments. He was instrumental in starting Dillon Read’s (now UBS) investment banking operations in India. He was also the Chief Executive Officer of Fuller Capital Management, LLC, where he was responsible for strategy and execution and building institutional relationships. For the past 15 years he has been working on Indian industry specific projects including auto components, real estate, oil and gas, transportation, financial services, information technology and retail. He has served on the board of India Centric Funds and Corporations, and is one of the directors of Asahi India Glass Limited, the largest integrated glass manufacturer in India. Mr. Rana was born in India, and over the years has developed an extensive network within the Indian diaspora both locally and abroad. |

Mr. Nicholas Charles Deterding (Independent Director) |

Mr. Nicholas Charles Deterding holds a masters‘ degree in arts (history) from St. Andrews University, Scotland, United Kingdom. After having served three years in the British Army, he spent approximately 12 years in London and Tokyo, where he specialised in the Japanese equity markets. He held the positions of a stockbroker at Montagu Loebl Stanley Limited and also as a director of Japanese equity sales at Kleinworth Benson Limited. He also served as a director of Japanese equity sales at the Swiss Bank Corporation until 1996, before returning to Norfolk, England to take over management of his family's business, Kelling Estate. Mr Deterding is a founder member of Anglia Woodfuels, a wood fuel supply producer-group based in the East of England, dedicated to develop a sustainable approach to energy use, and is currently also in the process of establishing a business to manufacture and supply biomass fuel to UK based power stations. Mr. Deterding also serves as a board member of the Country Land and Business Association in Norfolk and the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group in Norfolk. |

Mr. Sanjay Nayar is CEO of KKR India Advisors (P) Limited. Founded in 1976 and led by Henry Kravis and George Roberts, KKR is a leading global alternative asset manager with ~$52.2 billion in assets under management. With over 600 people and 14 offices around the world, KKR manages assets through a variety of investment funds and accounts covering multiple asset classes such as equity, debt, mezzanine and infrastructure related products. Some of the marquee companies owned by KKR across the world include Toys”R”US, Dollar General (largest discount retailer in the US), HCA (largest hospital chain), Alliance Boots (UK’s largest pharmacy chain) etc. KKR is publicly traded through KKR & Co. leading international franchises
of Citi encompassing Consumer,
Corporate and Investment
Banking.
Mr. Nayar was the Deputy
Chairman of the Indian Banks’
Association (IBA), Chairman of
the Foreign Banks’ Committee of
the IBA, a member of the Board
of USIBC, Co-Chairman of the
Habitat for Humanity India
Builds campaign. He has also
participated in various
financial sector reform
committees set up by the Indian
government and domestic
regulators – Infrastructure
Committee in 2008, and the
Committee by Reserve Bank of
India to build a “Centre for
Advanced Financial Learning” (CAFL).
Currently, he is on the board
of some NGOs such as Habitat for
Humanity, Pratham and Grameen
Capital. He was recently
appointed on the Board of

Ms. Ramni Nirula

Ms. Ramni Nirula holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Delhi University. She has more than three decades of experience in the financial sector, beginning her career with the erstwhile ICICI Limited in 1976 in the project appraisal division. Since then, she has held various leadership positions in areas of Project Financing, Strategy, Planning & Resources and Corporate Banking. After having retired as Senior General Manager of ICICI Bank Limited, she is currently associated with ICICI Foundation as an advisor and key management team member. ICICI Foundation was founded by ICICI Group in early 2008 to give focus to its efforts to promote inclusive growth through intervention in areas of primary health, elementary education and access to finance.
Ms. Nirula was part of the top management team instrumental in transforming ICICI Bank from a primarily term lending institution into a technology led diversified financial services group with a strong presence in India’s retail financial services market. She was also part of the top-level task force, which successfully planned and implemented ICICI Bank’s entry in the Rural Banking, Microfinance & Agriculture Business group, identified by the Bank as a key thrust area.
Ms. Nirula also held key positions as Managing Director & CEO of ICICI Securities Limited, the Investment Banking arm of ICICI Bank Limited and Head - Corporate Banking Group for ICICI Bank. She was also responsible for Government Banking Group and Corporate Agri Groups based out of New Delhi.
Ms. Nirula has been a member of the Board of many ICICI group and associate companies like ICICI Securities Limited, ICICI Direct and 3i Infotech. Additionally she has been a member of Board of leading companies in India including Ballarpur Industries, Crompton Greaves, Jindal Steel and Power, Haldia Petrochemicals, Eicher, Vardhaman, DCM Shriram Consolidated, Trident Group, PI Industries, Usha Martin, Jubilant Foodworks and SIEL. She has also been on the Board of non-corporates like a leading residential school for girls and a Micro Finance Institution in India.
